As an interesting note, this has extra weight on the wastegate valve. It can run with no weight (other than valve weight) and it runs 4x faster. It still pumps water to the elevation of the top of the air shafts quite easily.

A slightly cock-eyed shot, but demonstrates the height of the King's Chamber.  There are two vertical lines. The pressurized line is connected to an air compression chamber (not shown) and is the output from "the dead end shaft".  I placed a "tee" at the appropriate elevation and connected it to a waste line (water coming out of bottom). The "union" midway up the pressurized pipe is the static level of the water supply.

I extended the pipe upwards to simulate the height of the King's air shafts.  This setup can EASILY pump to the top of the pyramid.
